She never shies away from the darkest and most painful human experiences. But she does it with such grace and good humor that you’re never left in despair. 2) The romance is on point. I’m super into friends-to-love right now, and these two broken souls had me rooting for them on every page. 3) Own voices representation of a wheelchair user. The MC, Rebecca, uses a wheelchair after a devastating car accident leaves her partially paralyzed. But that’s not the most important thing about her. She is a fully realized person with opinions, talents, and goals that are integral to the story. I am quite literally a better person after experiencing the world through Rebecca’s challenges and experiences. Okay, as much as I want to keep raving about this book, you get the point, right??!!
